The Importance Of Brand Identity

Brand Identity is a visible element of a brand which allows the consumers to identify which brand they are looking at. This element would be brand’s name, logo, design and colours. This will allow the consumer to find out who they are dealing with on their first glance. For an example, when they see big yellow colour “M” sign they will immediately recognise it is a McDonald’s fast food restaurant. This is because McDonald’s is big brand which exist almost every part of the world so it doesn’t matter where you are from, you will know what it is. Relating this brand identity to my brand, it would be nearly impossible to make such a large brand image as McDonald’s because everyone in the world doesn’t know about me. For example, if a consumer sees a Mercedes Benz logo or the name most of the consumers will immediately think about the quality, wealth, smart and power. This will allow project information form the employees about how they feel about working for certain brand, and how they are being treated within the firm. For example, within Nike brand employees are happy and enthusiastic to work because it is a large well known sporting brand. Therefore, employees feel that they are being a bigger part of the brand’s success which means that whatever they are doing could affect the brands image.
Externally is where consumers and suppliers’ roles gets in. This is what they think about the company. When it comes to consumers, typically brand image will differ from brand identity. This is where the consumer’s opinion on brands matters.
Co-Branding is when two different brand merge together for market one single product. This will allow the multiple companies to market their products which are similar to each products. For example, when BMW’s new I8 came out they have merged with Louis Vuitton and created bags that would perfectly fit in that certain type of car. This will promote both brands and they are marketing together. Relating co-branding to my self-brand would associate with my business name in the future, this is where I would be able to use my self-brand to promote my business brand in order to attract consumers in to the
