When someone says “politician”, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? For me, I think corrupt: mostly because of all the media scandals that most of them are involved in. It’s fact that the majority of politicians do not have the best reputation when it comes to honesty or loyalty. Bernie Sanders is the minority in this case. Sanders is now known as the longest serving independent in U.S. congressional history. Being such a successful Mayor of Burlington, Vermont, led him to become an even better representative for Vermont’s at-large congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, Senate, etc.; he has always won because of his popularity votes. He is also known as “the progressive voice on all issues”. I completely support Bernie Sanders because of all these issues he has promised to address when in the presidency. Throughout his career, Sanders ethos has called for more regulatory action, which appeals to the public who want our government to address income inequality. Bernie Sanders’ logos are based on equality: therefore, he is fighting politician to be equal in politics, companies, and taxation. His life goal has always been to stand in front of a crowd and speaks about his thoughts on politics. On July 11, 2015 he was given the chance to fulfill his goal in New York. All of this usually appeals to someone’s pathos.
