Many people underestimate the importance of having a balanced diet and instead go follow the newest diet fad to try to lose weight. There is a percentage of 68.8 adults that are consider overweight or obese, which leads to heart problems, diabetes and even some cancer. Having a balanced diet isn’t as hard as it seems and can make you feel better about how you look and how you feel in the inside. Many people tend to stay away from fruits and vegetables because they don’t taste as well as junk food and there’s a reason it’s called junk food. Basically it’s junk for your body and you’re not fueling your body with the nutrients it need, yet it is made to be addicting and that’s why we can’t stop eating it. Sometimes lack of time can develop bad eating habits. Going to a fast food place is easy and fast and not everyone has the time to make balanced meals throughout the day. Work, traveling and even school makes it hard to fuel your body with the things it needs. Kids are not going to choose a salad over a pizza, but eating heathy doesn’t mean that you have to be munching on lettuce all day long. Doing that is just as bad for your body as eating junk food, the key word is balance.
