Leaving elementary and entering junior high can be tough for everyone. There are several things that can make this transition easier. The first being organization, next good study habits, and the interaction with other classmates. Understanding these three things will make middle school a better place. I survived, you can too.

Organization is the first thing you should learn to do. They do not use planners in middle school and you only have four minutes between each class. As a student, you are responsible for knowing and remembering what your homework assignment is. It also helps if you have folders or a way of keeping items for each class separate. You have only a short time to get to your locker and get what you need for the next class. Also, being organized helps you complete your assigned homework, or not lose the homework you have already completed. Organizing your locker helps when switching classes and getting to the next class on time.

Growing up in a time where the middle class is disappearing can be tough, this is even tougher when you are the child of a single teenage parent. From a young age, I watched my mother struggle while working a full time job and attending college as a full time student. Watching her struggle forced me to grow up and take responsibility for my younger siblings. Even as an elementary student, I was focused on my education and making a life for myself, so that I would not have to endure the torture that my mother endured throughout her teen and twenties. Leaning on my teachers for help and guidance in school helped me get to the finish line.…

In those classes, no matter how hard you try, you often feel like you will never understand the material, much less pass the tests. Take human anatomy for example.
