What’s an engineer? That first thing that comes to mind when I’m ask that question is someone “smart,” “solve problems,” or “a lot of math.” The truth is that engineering is all of that and more. To describe what an engineer does can be quite complicated because the field involves many areas. You can have mechanical, chemical, biomedical, electrical, and many others. Even if engineering is such a broad field, all these areas have something in common, solve problems. Engineers are those that use science and mathematical concepts along with common sense to solve problems or whatever needs the customer or company have. To become an engineer first we need to become a world class engineering student. A world class engineering student (WCES) is who put all their effort and abilities to progress and finally be a professional engineers in their area. A WCES follows certain concepts, ethics and abilities to improve. I, as an engineer student, am aiming to become a WCES and eventually a professional engineer. To accomplish my goal first I need to know what a WCES do, where I stand and what I need to do to be better. A WCES is recognized by their excellent characteristics that they all should have. This kind of students should be hard workers, always putting everything they can into their assignments. They will know about these assignments on time by planning ahead with an agenda or better yet a schedule. These students know that a schedule is the best way to keep track of all the…
