Becoming a father was the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life. It is such a special feeling living for someone else and not just yourself, knowing that your sole duties in life are now to love, provide, teach, mentor, and discipline. I always hear people say “ Im don 't think I 'm ready to be a parent.” and to be honest, I do not think anyone is ready to be a parent. I can still remember like it was yesterday the day my son was born. The feelings leading up to the day he was born were the most nerve racking days of my life.

On August 27th, 2015 the due date arrived. My wife and I sat at home expecting our son at any moment along with my mother who was visiting us and also there to help and support us with our new parental duties. The hours dragged by and we were filled with boredom and anxiousness knowing that our little man can arrive any minute or any hour and not knowing what to expect. To me the day felt different as if the air was heavier and the time was moving just a little slower, I do not know if it was the nerves or the gloomy dark gray clouds that were above. We wanted to keep our daily activities to a minimum that day so we decided to skip the beach and instead go walk around Target with hopes that the movement would help our baby come faster. We continued to walk through almost every isle inside Target, from the baby section, to the snacks section, and then to the makeup section and all around.
