The Atlantic Ocean allowed the discovery of continents possible and it is the main reason why we have diversity in the world. The food we eat, the language we learn to speak, the clothes we buy, and the education we obtain, come from all parts of the world. How and who allowed trade and communication among other continents happen? History back in 1492, Christopher Columbus and the Portuguese set sail across the Atlantic ocean. The expedition resulted in the discovery of the New World and Africa. The discovery of new land and people led to integration and exchange ideas and commodities. Zheng He from China, sailed to conquer the world almost a century before Columbus did. He had reached most of east Africa and encountered many Arab traders. They discovered the New World, but they were not affiliated with the Atlantic world. There were many reasons why China did not take credit of this expedition. When the Yongle Emperor died, China experienced economic decline and power instability. And unlike China, Europe was full of greed. They saw everything as an advantage to gain profit from commodities they received from foreigners in the African coast and Asia. Europe was determined to explore the sea, and figured the only way to gain more wealth is to conquer the ocean. He had come to tell him that he is a Christian and that there is only one true God. The idols they worship are evil influencing them to commit human sacrifices but really to discover a new route and land. Montezuma listened to their wishes and allowed them to build their own church. They practiced their faith hoping in return that the people there would learn from them. They discovered that Montezuma had plenty of gold and riches. They were afraid that they would be attacked by him so they acted fast to seize him before Montezuma and his soldiers did. Montezuma dressed them in gold and fed them, they were presented as good friends. Spaniards were never content with what they offered them. They always wanted more. The Spaniards lied to them in defense but really wanted to take over his father 's treasure. The Spaniards revealed their greed forcefully asking about Montezumas resources, demanding more gold, and taking possession over the city causing confusion to the natives in the city. Eventually, the Natives realized that these people who had come are not from the heaven, but are here to take advantage of them. The Natives tried to fight back to eliminate them from their land however, they were not well equipped with strong weapons the Europeans had.
