TASK #1 a. Any business knows that marketing expenditures are hard to justify. The most cost-effective marketing is an idea that can be spread by word-of-mouth. The benefit of this type of campaign is that when done right, it can engage Facebook friends, Twitter followers, local press, and national media. The best ideas for this marketing campaign are not expensive. We will try to advertise our product using the most cost efficient modes like local media and brochure printings. Their whole breakfast cereal line has switched to whole grain, which has repositioning the cereal to be a healthier choice for cereal consumers. Newer versions of cereals targeted to children are manufactured with less sugar. The reduction in cereals has been used in their marketin gto attract health and wellness conscious consumers.
Our marketing team should make sure that our products are as good as advertised.
TASK 2 A. Classic Cheerios - targets babies at early eating stage, kids, parents males and females, and any individual who is health concerned, or likes to snack on healthy choices of low, medium and high income ranges. B. Baby Boomers- The highest consumers ages 55 and up because this group is looking to increase their fiber intake with a light choice like Cheerios. C. Hispanica- which General mills is currently investing on marketing through mass media ads and promotions focusing on mothers who have the purchasing decision making in the household
