Insurance: You should address this prior to starting your business if you don’t have a spouses plan to fall back on. You need to know realistically what the cost is and if it’s worth taking out a private plan for your family.
Insurance is needed no matter what kind of job you have. Looking into a VA position I would need to know what insurance would cost for my family and depending on this I would have to decide if staying home and being a VA would be right for my family and our needs. This is tough having two kids one with allergies, financially it would need to make sense for my family.
