College and career readiness for me as a future C.E.O. means having life skills and abilities such as resilience, assertive leadership, being able to learn from your mistakes, being able to challenge myself, and being able to work in groups. These skills and abilities will be important in the future, especially in college and in my career as a C.E.O., because they will personally improve myself and how I problem-solve situations. Resilience will be necessary to my future because I will need to continue working hard when I am struggling. In college, I may struggle in grasping a certain concept that I’m learning in class, but I will need to be able to keep working at the concept, asking my peers and professor for help, and studying until I have mastered my weaknesses. …show more content…
Another necessary skill is assertive leadership, as it will help me take charge of a situation when need be. In my career as a C.E.O., I will need assertive leadership to head my corporation. I will also need assertive leadership as I will be someone else’s boss. There will be many parts of my life when I will need to voice my opinion, requiring assertive leadership. In the future, I will additionally need to be able to learn from my mistakes, so that I can improve myself and make progress in my skillset. In college, there may be an assessment that I do poorly on. If I learn from my mistakes, I won’t make the same errors next time and my knowledge of the topic will be improved. As a C.E.O., the board may be concerned about a report, decision, or presentation that I did not do well on. They would then expect me to do better the next time and work out my errors, so that it doesn’t reflect as badly on the group of people I may be representing.
