SSRIs is short for selective seronin reuptake inhibitors. They have the most tolerable side effects. Its brand names include Celeca, Lexapro, Prozac, and Zoloft. SSRI targets something called serotonin which is the primary neurotransmitters that help regulate mood. When serontonin gets low, SSRI helps balance by blocking its reabsorbtion. Prozac is probably classified as being a cultural phenomenon. Between media, magazine covers, TV talk shows, movies all played in this drug’s media fascination, and although the drug seemed very popular it almost became an alleged fearful drug. The drug had its own dark side in which cases show people actually committing suicide and some even committing murder. This drug in a way undefined the person. Those taking Prozac have taken on a drug depending, meaning; that the body has adapted the chemical to the point it needs a steady dose to function normally.
