1. Antidepressants can be a good way to treat people if other options are ruled out. However, I would first try to see if other options would work on a depressed client before using antidepressants. Also, it is proven that people on the placebo are more likely to relapse into depression compared to people on antidepressants and therefore antidepressants can be a good way to medicate clients. On the other side, due to the fact that it is proven that antidepressants are not very affective when it comes to treating mild and moderate depression, why bother? Why not use other forms of treatment, such as exercise?
