Working Thesis: With depression being at an all new time high with the college generation, it is important that Doctors and Psychiatrists find new remedies to treating depression than just the magic pill.

The article “Psychological Treatment of Depression in College Students: A Meta-analysis,” is a review on depression within the college years. These authors come from America, Italy, Germany and Amsterdam. All of the authors have their Ph.D.’s in psychology. The review contains information about the data collected from 16,000 participants around the world with testing different treatments to see which one is the best and has the least side effects. [Insert quote here (have many different quotes to pick from)] The bias for this review was that they only contained fifteen different remedies. Mostly were the cliché remedies such as therapy and medication. Only three were natural remedies, such as running or natural medication and mediation. RJ Stahl mentions multiple remedies such as therapy, herbs and supplements, yoga, music, and exercise. “Depression is a serious condition that can affect every aspect of your life. To treat depression, doctors often recommend therapy and antidepressants.” The only biased opinion that I can find looking through this small educational article is that the author does not provide data examples of any of the other remedies to challenge antidepressants. I will use this article to further prove my argument that there are many different remedies that will cure depression than just the magic
