When I was younger I was fond of my mother 's makeup and I would always smear her red lipstick all over my face. As I have gotten older I found a new appreciation for the art of makeup and how I am able to express myself through a certain color of lipstick or eyeshadow. For me, makeup is playtime, mixed between I want to wear it to feel good or I want to look like I actually had enough sleep the night before. Some people collect stamps or snow globes, I however collect lipsticks, and I have a large collection of makeup products. One of my favorite things to do while I am at home is to grab my laptop and look up youtube videos on certain makeup tutorials. It was not my intention to come across beauty gurus that use cruelty-free makeup brands. However i was gripped by the idea of being cruelty free because I love animals and I did have some background knowledge on how animals are severely tortured in laboratories not only for cosmetic testing but medical research as well. As a fan of mascara and lipsticks,I was not going to stop using makeup but I learned there are products which are cruelty free, and do not test their products on animals.
