Animals in Research When people think about animals, they probably picture something like a mischievous kitten playing with yarn or a pack of wolves living in the wilderness. However, animals also happen to have a significant role in scientific research. Animal testing is used in contribution to making numerous products including medicine, cosmetics, and food additives. Although it is so often used, it remains a controversial subject.
