On July 23rd 2012 the broadcast network released an ad. This was called “the choice” Obama for America TV advertisement. It was a positive ad of the president’s plan for the next four years. In this specific political ad Barack Obama states, “over the next four months you have a choice to make, not just between two political parties or even two people” so it can be chosen that he wants to be dealing with the issues going on in our country. However he mentions Romney’s plan and says it is not for the better of our society. Obama mentions dealing with the issues and how he can improve our country, and also attacks his opponent a little bit. This ad tries to create trust in our presidential candidate and to be calm. This advertisement is aimed toward everyone in our country but that’s a vague inference. In reality it’s based toward the middle class and the lower class. It’s all about hope for these people. If the people aimed towards pick the wrong choice (candidate) they could be in for a long hopeless next couple of years. The sound effects and music in this ad try to persuade the audience to vote for Obama. When he is talking about the other candidate the music is gloomy and sad but when he talks about detail in his plan its gives the viewers trust and hope. Towards the end of the ad the lighting in the background was a tad bit brighter than in the beginning, this was used to make the audience think with his plan it can bring us brighter days to come. This is like a signal and the light is shinning and it gives the voters an opportunity of a lifetime to pick him and follow Obama as he leads our country.
