Before I conducted my research on the topic of abortion I knew that it was a very debated issue that has been around for many years. I am also aware that abortion contrary to popular beliefs, is pretty common and that many American women have had one. Another thing I know about my topic is that women who go through with an abortion are under many risks. Those risks may cause medical and emotional complications like infection, heavy bleeding, guilt, depression, and eating disorders. My view on this topic and things I believe to be true about abortion are that life begins at conception and that when you go through an abortion you are killing an innocent being. Although I as well found some very informational websites online which gave me a lot of great material to work with. Sources that I found were good for research were mostly websites that told me facts and statistics on my topic. The place where I found the best information would be on the New York Times website which told me all about the history of abortion and how everything originated. This information on the New York Times website was a great success because finding information on how abortion came to be was difficult since some websites that I came across weren’t very reliable and didn’t really give me the main points and details on the history of my topic. While, the New York Times, on the other hand had a great deal of useful research in a more condensed and easy to understand format. During my research I did come across some failures like not being able to find the information I needed because even though abortion is extremely talked about there isn’t much being talked or written about the history or about the amount of profit being made by abortion industries. Although when I did find information on the public’s viewpoint they were usually on very bias websites which mostly gave me an opinion rather than facts and data. People that were helpful in my research process were my brothers because they helped me find sources that are dependable and as well helped me find people that have either worked in an abortion clinic, had an abortion or other valuable resources. In my search process there were rarely any any setbacks because I was organized and knew how to tell if a website was reliable or not. Another reason as to why I didn’t run into problems is that, like I said before, my topic is an immensely discussed topic which makes it simple to find information on
