Not only are there ordinary and common skills but also technical skills needed. Some key skills necessary to do well are to be patient and nurturing toward students no matter how difficult it may be. Pre-K teachers should also try to be as creative and fun as possible. Additionally they should have strong verbal communication skills. (Education Portal 1) Technology is beginning to play a much larger role in how students learn. Pre-K teachers should be trained in many aspects of technology. Some skills include training for educational software and equipment. (Education Portal 1) There are several qualifications that are needed to become a preschool teacher. Pre-K teachers should have 120 hours of formal training and 480 hours of early childhood education experience. Charitable organizations and orphanages occasionally ask teachers at all levels, to come and teach a few lessons to insure their children are receiving the proper education. Both public and private preschools are desirable locations for pre-K teachers. Child development centers often have a preschool teacher on staff. (U.S. Department of Labor 1) In any job there are challenges and difficulties that a person may face. In the pre-K field the difficulties may be fewer but they are challenging none the less. The salary of a preschool teacher is not a large amount which can cause obstacles to arise. There are never enough hours in the day to dedicate to students. Subsequently, Lower level students can need additional attention hurting other students in their education. Lastly, if preschool teachers do not gain their students’ respect and trust it can be very hard to teach them. (Golden) Preschool teachers seem to have the best of both words. Not only do they get to play all day but they also know that they helped to create the foundation to their students’ futures. People may think the job can be a struggle but in all honesty, preschool teachers have one the most rewarding jobs out
