One way a business engages their audience is by using the very common feature on almost all the main social media platforms, Hashtags. This is a great way for the audience to interact and get involved in content and campaigns that have been posted by a business on social media. Businesses see this feature as a way to link posts to their marketing media campaigns, as this allows them to sort out their posts instead of just having them all over the social media platform. The hashtag gives consumers a direct link to a page of other posts also under the same hashtag. This is an effective way to increase traffic to their page or to spread word around the new product or brand.
