I. Introduction: This assignment has been a tough one for me to decide which three topics to reflect on. All nine topics that we were presented with that we are to choose from are very interesting and thought provoking. I have decided to go with the following three because they each sparked my interest either during the Class or during my walk with the Lord. The first one that I am going to address is “What can your local church do to better communicate God’s love to your community”? The second topic that I am going to address is “If a person is a Christian, does it matter how they live their life”? And last but not least I am going to address the topic that asks us “Does the Bible have authority”?

Helping with clothing similarly with food can make a difference. I remember one winter when me and my children were snowed in and it was so cold that we could not sleep. I went to the Church Board and they took me to a trailer with clothing, etc….that they kept and gave us twelve (12) blankets. Boy did it make a difference! It does not seem like a lot but it sure was. The Church could maybe have a committee that volunteers to cook for the ill and/or the elderly, within the community that needs it. I know our Youth Group is going Christmas Caroling within our rural town to various shut-ins. And they continue to visit with them occasionally, not just at Christmas time. As mentioned in Elmer Towns CORE Christianity, I believe that the Church should also include “the care of widows and orphans, and the development of hospitals, orphanages, and schools” (Towns, 2007).
III. The next topic that I am going to reflect on is the question, “If a person is a Christian, does it matter how they live their life”? Most absolutely is my answer. How else are we going to attract others to salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ? We should act in such a fashion that others want to have what we have….a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe we need to do a little of two things. Number one is to walk accordingly hand in hand with our Lord as well as share our personal testimony.
