Christian Worldview (Workplace)
As I reflect on my Christian worldview for the workplace I am reminded of Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for me.” Sometimes on my job I am have to use my spiritual gifts. Using my spiritual gifts allow me to work with more focus and enthusiasm. During my current role as an Administrative Assistant God has placed me in my role to shape and mold me for my future position. As I live out my calling in my current role I am gaining the ability to put my faith into works in a unique and personal way. I apply Gods truth to the issues and situations that I sometimes find myself in at work daily.
Mercy: I can think of countless times that I sought to take justice into my own hands at work to justify some of the ways other employees treated me and others but I learned that what God calls for is… forgiveness. I …show more content…
No one is any better or worse than anyone else. I am able to step alongside my work colleagues at the most difficult times and share their burdens, frustrations, and setbacks. As an ambassador for Christ I learned that I no longer define myself by my job. I work for God and no matter where I work this will never change. Wherever God wants me to be, whatever God wants me to do, I am ready and willing. As my Christian worldview has developed my focused has changed in the workplace towards serving others. My motivation is to do Gods will through helping the week, poor, suffering and everyone else. Luke 6: 20-23 “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the son man.
