A worldview is the way a person sees life or the world. There are six major world views that we have studied Theism, Deism, Materialists Existentialism, Nihilism and Pantheism.

Theism is the belief that there is a god/gods who created the universe, theist also believe is some sort of religion like Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Hinduism. Theism comes from the Greek word Theos meaning God, there are many types of theism such as Polytheism which is the belief in more than one God and Monotheism is the belief in one God. Deism is the belief that God exists and he creates everything. Deism comes from the Latin word Deus meaning God. Deists also believe that God is completely uninvolved from the universe so they do not …show more content…
Materialists comes from the Latin word marteria meaning matter. Materialists believe that we are just biological organisms and when we die it is extinction. Materialists believe that the reason we know what we know is due to science and they believe that everything has a effect and cause Materialists believe that history is just a sequence of events with no goal or purpose.

Existentialism is the believe that everyone has existence, freedom and choice and that we define our own meaning in life. Existentialist believe that we are a subjective creature who can choose what we want to do, theists believe that history is whatever we choose it to be. Theist believe that the nature of reality is ordered and works according to the rules of nature, theists believe that there is no right or wrong they are just social constructs.

Nihilism is the belief that nothing is real, Nihilism comes from the Latin word Nihilism meaning nothing. Nihilist believe that there is no meaning or purpose to life, nihilist believe that we are just meaningless objects. Nihilist are often seen as people who do not believe in right or wrongs.
