A hopeless girl who has no knowledge of the world and lived in innocence stumbles across a somber road of destruction in which she suffers harsh social stigma on her personal business of casting out a burden which would ultimately may have lead to a poor life quality on the infant’s part; she had just gotten an abortion. A very touchy subject in which society has created a large stigma (characterized as disgraceful) towards females because they had chosen to have an abortion. Abortion is a personal and individual decision a mother may have to choose, for a variety of reasons. Many people who are pro-life would argue that abortion should remain illegal. However, abortion should be legalized because restricting abortions lead to unsafe abortions which cause far more health issues, every woman has the right to choose what to do with her own body and the government should have no say, and fetuses are not viable up to twenty three weeks and therefore have no human rights. According to the World Health…

Depending on the mother’s stance on abortion can limit or greatly intensify her emotional state following the procedure. The effects can also be increased in women who might have been coerced or even forced into having the abortion performed. I feel that abortion should be illegal in the U.S. I feel that way because if a person considers abortion, they are basically stating they are murdering that child. Everyone that is born should be able to live. Furthermore you never know what they could accomplish, however if abortion is considered they are lowering that chance of a possible American hero. Every year there are at least 1.5 million aborted babies said Ronald Reagan , which is hurting the U.S with our military and our jobs.…

“Trauma represents just one category of mental states causing significant emotional harm to individuals” (Cohen). So if a woman gets pregnant from rape or incest and develops a trauma, an abortion will help remove the trauma and improve the mother’s emotional health. Moreover, “[If a woman] prefers to end her pregnancy, raising a profoundly disabled child might be thought to also impose significant [emotional] suffering” (Cohen). If a mother knows that her unborn child will be disabled, the mother will be depressed, but if she gets an abortion before the baby is born, this could improve the mother’s emotional health. Furthermore, “The rape case, the trauma, and the pregnancy have the same “cause” and are inextricably linked such that one cannot end one without the other” (Cohen).…

Imagine you had to have a baby you were not ready for, could not pay for, or happened under unfortunate circumstances. This senario happens to women all across America which is why I believe abortion should be available for several reasons, first, it should be legal because a fetus is not the same as a independent human being, another reason is that banning safe medical abortions would result in back alley abortions, and the last reason is, a woman should have the right to do whatever she sees fit for her own body. First off, a fetus is not the same as a human being. “Scientists estimate that 55% to 65% of all conceptions are spontaneously aborted in the first few weeks of pregnancy.” (Arthur, Is a Fetus a Human Being).…

Abortion may lead to future medical problems for the mother. They must take that into consideration when they are thinking about doing the procedure. You may not be able to have children in the future and you can have blood clots in the uterus. It causes extreme cramps and is usually discarded by repeated suction curettage.
