Decent Essays
I feel that abortion should be illegal in the U.S. I feel that way because if a person considers abortion, they are basically stating they are murdering that child. Everyone that is born should be able to live. Furthermore you never know what they could accomplish, however if abortion is considered they are lowering that chance of a possible American hero. Every year there are at least 1.5 million aborted babies said Ronald Reagan , which is hurting the U.S with our military and our jobs. I feel that if a baby was put into a mother's womb, it was put there for a reason and that every baby or child has the freedom to live a life and experience life. Every child should be given a life considering they have the right to live a life with liberty,

Many people think that an unborn baby is just a useless clump of cells which can be thrown away with the trash this, however is not true. A person is a person from the moment of their conception. Unborn babies are little humans, too small to even speak for themselves, that should be loved and have the same rights as humans that have been born. An unborn baby’s heartbeat can be heard 8 weeks after conception, and have unique fingerprints 14 weeks after conception. The very idea that an unborn human is not a human is absurd.…

About 1.21 million abortions are performed per year, and 125,000 abortions per day. Thats a lot of precious lives lost. The procedures can be very disturbing. some women may think it’s the best choice for them but the child could have a better life if she chose to have the baby and put it up for adoption instead of “killing” the helpless child. In my opinion abortion should be banned in the united states.…

Abortion should be illegal because it should be the government who should be protecting the right to life. The government is in charge of making laws to protect the most basic human rights and our values. Abortion contradicts the purpose of those laws. “In 1965, illegal abortions made up one-sixth of all pregnancy – and childbirth – related deaths” (“Abortion Access”). This justifies that if abortion isn’t legal, then those who want to get rid of the fetus will perform illegal abortions such as self-abortion. As a result, those who perform self-abortion will end up harming themselves. Although many are against abortion because they consider it evil/inhumane, it should be legal because the mother could have been raped, have a disabled fetus, or have an unwanted pregnancy.…

As stated by 10 Reasons Abortion Should be Illegal by listland, “Dr. Nathanson, an early proponent of abortion became a pro-life campaigner after he saw 12-week fetuses shrink from instruments and open their mouths in a scream during an abortion” (listland). Since 1760 BC, abortions have been sought-out internationally. There are a variety of reasons for them: because sexually abused women do not desire for guardianship of the child, females do not want their body to be unfit because of pregnancy, or it was a careless mistake that could have been prevented with birth control or any other prevention method. Many women have nonessential abortions. One quintessential example of this is in China; they kill fetuses if the sonogram proves the unborn child to be female. Abortions should be illegal because it is unjust and purposeless slaughter to the unborn human being.…
