Evil, God and its existence
Evil has been a topic of discussion and concern for years. Some wonder why evil exists and some are just concerned with not getting wrapped up with evil. Evil is necessary and allowed to exist by the almighty for several reasons. With all the questions about why evil exists, I know we are not to question God and his actions and plans. Theodicy is defined as “the explanation of why a perfectly good, almighty, and all-knowing God permits evil” (Britannica). Why would such a loving and just God allow so much evil, hate and bad to exist in the world? Why does he allow Satan and his army to run amuck everywhere, even listening to his petition for our souls? Let’s first take a look at the almighty and the existence of evil in its many forms. God is a loving and caring God. He is unchanging and unmoved. Scriptures say God is “same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrew 13:8). His love for us is incomprehensible. We will never understand the depth of his grace and love “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. “ (Jeremiah 31:3). Members of those cartels carry no regard for human life, or doing what is right. They only want to satisfy themselves and generate their revenue from drug sales and deals. Many may not realize the evil that is behind those who participate in this, but I have no doubt. The devil comes to “steal, and to kill, and to destroy. “ John 10. This scripture lays down the foundation of evil very clearly. Drug cartels do exactly that, kill, steal and destroy.
