Even though people stereotype pit bulls as dangerous, it does not mean they are accurate. Pit bulls can be referred to as “nanny dogs.” Pit bulls are known for their loyalty. Hypothyroidism is a disorder in the thyroid gland and makes the metabolism decrease and energy levels decrease. Some symptoms of this disorder is not wanting to play or getting tired easily. If a child is wanting a pit bull with hypothyroidism to play and not leaving him alone this could cause him to get angry and aggressive (“Reasons for Aggression in Dogs” 1). Full or partial seizures can also cause a pit bull to become aggressive. Before a seizure occurs, a pit bull might seem worried, scared, or stressed out.
