Who Is The Pastor Of My Church? Essay

1418 Words May 23rd, 2016 6 Pages
I interviewed two leaders from my life, that I knew I could learn something from. I tried to find leaders with styles that I was not learning in school or did not agree with. I figured this would be a good way to learn as much as possible. I digitally recorded and took notes on both interviews.

The first one I choose was the pastor of my church. I choose him because he leads more than just a team, his role requires him to also lead the congregation and sometimes the public. There are times when he leads indirectly. I found out in the interview, that ends up being most of the time. One way in which he does this is by he making suggestions that lets people choose for themselves, sometimes with a little persuasion in a certain direction. I learned a lot during the Interview and enjoyed it very much.
I found some of his answers very interesting like when I asked him "What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess?" He answered with humility, which makes perfect sense when you think about it. He told me that he chooses this characteristic because a leader has to be willing to serve. I always considered that patience would be top of the list for me. This is because of the need to lead while keeping the ability to work together.
My notes from his interview are below, they are a bit rough but with the recording I have what I need. As weeks go by I will have more time to polish them up.

Can you name a person who has had a tremendous impact on…
