Before I started my paper I decided to figure out what does "leadership mentor" mean? For me mentor is a powerful person who can affect you without special efforts. Also, very popular determination of mentor is "wise advisor", so this person can give advices to less experienced people and usually these people are younger than a mentor. Moreover, mentor is very similar to leader, so this person for sure should know how to build good relationships between totally different persons.
For this project I was supposed to interview someone who is my leadership mentor, who inspires and motivates me. It was pretty hard to decide who I am going to interview, because I never thought before about who can be this person, who affects me better and has more

Of course, he said that his biggest experience in leadership is working as a teacher in a school and working in a children camp as well. Because he has to manage a group of 20 children and simultaneously he needs to be interesting to keep their attention on him. Despite that, he never used this power for his own purposes. As he said “followers have to trust you, pupils have to be your friends, and just in this case your group will work smoothly. However, you should know the brinks of what is permitted.” I totally agree with this position, because when pupils feel comfortable they will study better, and lectures will not be a burden. In addition, he told me many stories about his typical hikes with children; but there was on which affected me a lot. This story is about how my teacher understood that leaders have to keep balance between work and personal life. This balance is extremely significant, because if you will pay more attention just on one thing and think that another will be fine without striving, you are completely wrong. These two parts of everyone’s life are absolutely compatible, but all the time you need to keep in mind that everything should be in moderation. So it is better for everyone to not mix private life and job; especially if you are a leader in a work it does not meant that you have t be a leader with your …show more content…
Also, it is not so important to be a leader everywhere. You cannot be perfect in each field, it is impossible. That is why you should not to grub on to become a leader everyone. Even if you a follower all the time it is not bad, because anyway you will bring a lot of benefits. Conjointly, he said that leaders have too many responsibilities, but if you are leader from your nature you will not feel these responsibilities so

In chapter 1, "On Leadershp", Mr. Gardener outlines a foundation of leadership by indicating, followership is achieved when the flow of influence and communication goes in both directions. He also states that positional authority dose automatically mean that subordinates will be followers. It's up to the leader to earn the status of "performance elites" and the subordinates will determine if they will be followers, or continue as subordinates. Ultimately it will be the followers who will determine who the great leader are. I work at a Healthcare facility so I've chosen the mission statement of the facility that I've applied at.…

The aim of this paper is to take the teachings, experiences, learnings and knowledge gained throughout my experiences during the 2015 Haskayne wilderness retreat (retreat), and apply them to uncover the foundations required to become a leader and what is required of a responsible leader in the context of sustainability in today’s business environment. Furthermore, I will offer my opinions on the key leadership take a ways I learnt while on the retreat, and how these lessons can be operationalized and put into practice personally and professionally. Throughout the week at the retreat I came to a realization that in order to be a leader, oneself must inherently be a leader themselves. A leader can do so in its simplest form by being completely…

Leadership is providing direction to a group of people that may be seeking or lacking greater information. Through powerful leaders, the ability to transfer knowledge among similar generations takes patience and clarity. Without the existence of strong examples, confusion and misunderstanding would occur in young minds. As my peers and I are beginning to mature, we are transitioning from being influenced by a leader to becoming an important role model to others. Leadership is exemplified in my life through influencing the lives of younger generations, as well as through personal achieved acts.…

However followers and leaders should share a mutualistic relationship where all members work together to play their individual part. I learned that there are many different types of followers and the best followers seem to be emerging leaders. While these followers may have learned these abilities by their self the leader should use their transformational leadership skills to foster the follower and enhance abilities to possibly one day take the leaders spot. This way not only can he or she play the role of a follower especially well they can also step up and be the leader if need be. I think that shows how the different types of leaderships are entangled.…
