The United States’ obesity rate is increasing substantially and cutting the proportion sizes of food serving is not benefiting the fight to cut the obesity rate. However, we can start making changes to our daily lives and improve our health and well-being by adding a little more physical activity into our lives. To start an exercise routine can be simple, but what we all struggle with for the most important part is to be consistent. We all lose motivation to continue because the training could become repetitive and/or we do not see any changes. The biggest part of it all is to stay motivated and to continue to exercise. Our world has become accustom to the phrase “instant gratification,” even though that is hardly ever the case. Although it may seem like physical trainers are in their “work-out” mindset, every one of us struggles with motivation. As of 2010, Men’s Health conducted a study …show more content…

A few of these are: demographic and biological, psychological, behavioral attributes, social support, and the individuals environment. In Trost’s study he noted that men are more likely to part take in physical demands more often than women. Demographics of a person can prevent them from reaching their goal because maintaining a gym membership can be very expensive now days. Depending on accessibility of a gym it will enhance whether or not the client will continue to exercise. Many people are aware of their surrounding and not feeling comfortable with their environment can make them lose interest in the facility. That is why psychological mindset is very important when it comes to exercising efficiently since it deals with self-efficacy, which has to do with the person’s ability to have confidence when working out.
