Theme Of Tono La Flor

Improved Essays
The song i will be analyzing is “Como La Flor” and it is written by “Abraham Quintanilla, Pete Astudillo” and it is performed by “ Selena Quintanilla-Perez”. This song is a sort of a sad song because this song is mainly about a love life that was like a flower that dried up and died. So basically the love life selena had was not a good one. But in the lyrics she is saying that she is still hurt by this boy. Anyways this song has alot of different types of themes but the main theme i’m using is “ Even though your going through hard times you can still give love instead of negativity”.
This song can always put a smile on my face. This song a very nice song, it has a nice rhythm to it and it also makes you to dance a little.

Poor Jose gets cheated on by his girlfriend with a man she just me. While Jose was gone, the woman in the song was lonely and goes to a cafe. She meets the man in the song and says, “Come a little but closer, you're my kind of man / so big and so strong / come a little bit closer, I’m all alone / and the night is so long”. She doesn't seem to think about how Jose would feel about her loneliness being acted upon. She only thinks of her immediate gratification much like the female in the “A Woman Needs…

In this day and age, classics range from movies such as Titanic, to books such as Moby Dick, or even television shows such as I Love Lucy. But what makes something “classic”? Herman Melville, a classic author, stated that “To produce a mighty book you must choose a mighty theme.” In literature, theme is the main idea or underlying message of the book. The reason why in my opinion theme is the quality that makes a story classic is because it reaches the reader intellectually and emotionally.…

The beginning of the song she talks about how she was young and fell in love with a man who thought she would be happy with. She is saying that younger women fall in love in with men who have a certain charm to them. The next part of the lyrics say that she was treated like all men who are like him treat women and that he should not be surprised to tell him what he is. In these lyrics she is saying that some men do not take love seriously because he did not treat her very well and is so disappointed that she tells him that. The end of the first part of the song comes with the verse which says, “Mal Hombre” and mentions it again; “Eres un mal hombre” which means that he is a cold hearted man and has no soul.…

Juan Antonio Bayona’s El Orfanato (2007) is a Spanish horror film that illustrates the Spanish ghost story while also representing the tragic loss of childhood. Laura returns to the orphanage where she was raised, hoping to re-open it. Instead, her son Simón goes missing seemingly at the hands of ghosts from her past. The disappearance and subsequent death of her son, as well as her reunion with her ghostly childhood friends symbolizes significant aspects of Spain’s traumatic history. This can be seen through the use of multiple genre approaches to the narrative, specifically the socio-cultural approach.…

This song talks about the speaker who is abused by her boyfriend but she stands by him because she loves him. This is similar to when we find out that Mayella was abused by her father but still loves him because well, it’s her father. They both show unhealthy relationships and how bad things can be at home. The mood in both of this song and the book is desperate. They are both desperate for love and will do anything to stay by their family/man.…

I support the female's perspective rather than the male’s perspective, because I strongly believe that abortion should not be an option and that everyone should be given the opportunity to live. The song in general sparks a fuse about the possible scenarios my mom could've gone through when she was expecting me. Listening to this song leaves me thankful that my mother decided to keep me, just as the female speaker decided to do. Abortion is not a topic you hear about often, the song “Lost Ones” shows how the sense of fear from both, the young boy and the young girl who have just found out a baby is on the way induces them to make a decision that could change their life forever. It shows how the young couple face a challenge but lastly have hope that everything will go fine.…
