Statistics show how the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is reaching record high. Global Warming has lead to this horrible situation. The destruction of our atmosphere is primarily caused by humans yet some individuals and scientists don’t accept this responsibility. Humans releasing abundant amounts of CO2 has changed the environment throughout history yet the human society has not taken action to correct this behavior. As humans, we release 12.4 tons of carbon dioxide per average household while a single tree can only absorb 0.013 tons of CO2. This excess amount of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases affects our Global Climate in drastic ways. Winner of the Outstanding Leadership Award, U.S. Department of Energy in 2010, Stephen Schwartz explains CO2 role further by stating the situation then the consequences. Schwartz demonstrates how “the world’s energy economy” will change because of the “atmospheric carbon dioxide [that] continues to increase.” In other words. plants can’t exchange all the gas for O2. The ozone layer will slowly collapse allowing harmful sunrays to enter the atmosphere hurting our overall energy cycle in all aspects of life including the deep deep ocean. Furthermore, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) demonstrates this catastrophe by explaining what the future holds. IPCC understands that “oceanic uptake of CO2 has resulted in acidification of the ocean” and IPCC’s data shows how the “pH of ocean surface water has…
