Abortion has been one of the most argued topics in the United States for the last couple of decades. Abortion has become a key point in politics, it can be the decider if someone will vote for you or not. Obviously each side has their own defenses to abortion, but I don’t think as a country we’ll ever reach a consensus on what the right thing is. I’m pro choice because I don’t think we have the right to tell someone what to do with their own body especially when that person is a woman. Also I’m pro death because some criminals commit crimes that the only reasonable punishment for that crime is death.

The government should never control what people can or can’t do when it comes to their bodies or private life, if the government tries to intrude on these liberties then obviously there will be backlash. As American’s we enjoy many freedoms and that’s because we don’t live in a country where the government is always looking over our shoulder, not allowing woman to have the right to an abortion defeats the purpose of that. People argue it is a cruel punishment but the jails and governments try to find the most humane ways to kill someone like lethal injection. There can be many improvements to the death penalty that would make more people in favor for it. Having a fine line of who will die, aggravating circumstances would make a person more eligible for the death penalty (CNN), and also making sure the person is guilty would definitely help. The individuals who commit crimes like rape, rape-murder, murder, mass murders, terrorists, and serial killers have all shown that they are incapable of living in this world, putting them into jail for the rest of their lives with the same type of criminals does not necessarily teach a lesson.
