Katherine Jenkins once said children should be able to live a life free from bullying and harassment and it is time that we all took a stand against this. This quote is very powerful in a child’s mind. In Griffin High School or anywhere in the world there are many bullying situations. Bullying is something someone shouldn’t have to go through. People are getting bullied every single day and every minute. It’s about 75% of students that have gotten bullied before. In today’s world bullying is being took place everywhere. There are many ways you can be bullied and I’m going to talk about it. Bullying is a terrible thing to go through. I will hate it for someone to get bullied. That can be very traumatizing to anyone. Verbal tormenting incorporates ghastly comments, mocking, teasing. Social bothering incorporates using associations with hurt some individual. It incorporates banning or barring some individual from a friend pack, spreading bits of tattle, or "the quiet treatment". Cyber bullying happens over cellphones or the web. With these different types of bullying people had tried or did commit suicide. Suicide is a horrible thing and nobody would want their child to commit it. It can very detrimental to anybody. I would say suicide is when you start thinking about taking your life or even do take your life. You can have a lot of pain and hurt built up inside of you that’s why I believe they commit it. I’ve even read up on a story when a child committed it. I have watched a very touching video of someone kid that committed suicide. It was a boy that died. He was being bullied physically and by cyber bullying. Students at his school were telling him that he needed to die and was saying very mean things. The boy was telling everybody that he was going to kill himself when he had got home, but everyone took him as a joke. Even the bus driver didn’t believe him. Daniel (the boy that committed suicide) told his bus driver that he was going to do it and the bus driver replied “See you tomorrow Daniel”.... Daniel parents were at his little brother basketball game. So Daniel home alone and some boy that was bullying him had texted him and basically encouraging him to kill himself. He told Daniel to do everybody a favor and do it and Daniel did indeed do it. It was a very sad document entry. This is one of the examples of cyber bullying and physical bullying that was very hurtful to me and I didn’t even know the little
