Victims Of Bullying Analysis

Many people have been victims of bullying. In America one in every four Americans are victims of bullying. A perfect example is a good friend of mine name John Wall. When John attended high school he was bullied by his classmates. John was picked on because he was over weight and short. His classmates called him names like “Fat boy” and “Umpa Lumpa.” This lead, John to grow hate towards all his classmates and soon hurt them. One day, John went to school with a gun and shot every student in his class. Once he killed every student, John took his own life away. This is a perfect example why people shouldn’t bully others. Therefore, victims that are being bullied can go through some rough paths in life. In The 400 Pound CEO of “Civil War Land In Bad Decline,” Professor George Saunders argues that humans can be so cruel to others who are slightly different. For example, Jeffrey, the protagonist, works in Human Raccoon Alternatives who is always being bullied and harassed by his colleagues. In the beginning of the story our protagonist encounters a lot of name calling from his colleagues. The protagonist pretended to not care, but deep inside he is suffering with pain. In the book “Civil War Land In Bad Decline,” author George Saunders states that “ What kind of friends gets a kick out of posting in the break room a drawing of you eating an entire computer? What kind of friend jokes that someday you’ll be buried in a specially built container after succumbing to heart strain?”(48).
