The Obesity Problem
In the United States, there has been a rise in the number of obese individuals. Fast food and the lack of exercise contribute to increasing obesity in the nation. Obesity is a serious problem because it links to several long-term health conditions, premature death, and illness. The rate of obesity problem which results in health problem, in America has increased because of widespread consumption of fast food, large food portions, unbalanced diet, and reduction of exercise.
Obesity is a serious disease that affects the health of bodies negatively. People who are overweight or obese have a much greater risk of developing everything from heart disease, and other illnesses. Overweight and obesity have reached epidemic proportions in the United States. When the body mass index rises, have a high risk to experience Coronary Heart Disease. Heart failure, a serious condition in which your heart can’t pump enough blood to meet your body’s needs, occurs often to obese. The chances of having high blood pressure is greater with people who are overweight or obese. Also it causes Diabetes. A disease in which the body’s blood glucose, or blood sugar, level is too high. Normally the body breaks down food into glucose and then carries it to cells throughout the body.
First common cause of obesity is widespread consumption of fast food. Fast food is known for its low prices, high palatability, and high sugar. It is well known that eating out may lead to excess calorie…
