1) The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test was very beneficial giving me insight on who I am and the strengths and weaknesses I possess. My results were ESTP which is extraversion, sensing, thinking, and perceiving. MBTI describes ESTP’s as a “Flexible and tolerant, they take a pragmatic approach focused on immediate results. Theories and conceptual explanations bore them­­­­­---they want to act energetically to solve the problem. Focus on the here and now, spontaneous, enjoy each moment that they can be active with others. Enjoy material comforts and style. Learn best through doing (Myers, I.B., 1998). My personality is more laid back and this gives me the ability to be flexible. There are people who cannot function if things do not go according to plan. I have learned that I am not one of those people. In my results, it states that ESTP prefers to experience and accept life rather than judging and organizing it. I am more open-minded and can deal with spontaneous situations that I encounter. Lastly, ESTP is skilled operators of their environment I agree that they are adaptable and have the ability to solve problems. This skill gives me the opportunity to work on any job I put my mind to. The potential strengths listed for an ESTP is the entrepreneurial approach, crisis management, ability to sell and promote, adaptability, and willingness to take the risk.
