The first picture that was chosen features Elizabeth Eckford walking to school, with Hazel Bryant close behind while she spewed hateful words. “The scene felt surreal. The Little rock Nine could have just given up and not faced all the hate they received at Central, but they knew how important it was that they went there. They didn’t turn around and quit like everyone told them to. “ The mob kept yelling in the distance, But this time, I barely heard any of it.” (71) This quote from Amlw shows that the Nine didn’t stop and just kept moving, just like the song.
The Little Rock Nine faced countless challenges that many people can’t even imagine. They were harassed on a daily basis by racists, but they didn’t let that stop them. They didn’t drop out of central. They kept on going there. Their actions show tremendous amounts of bravery and courage, not to mention determination. The three photos that were mentioned show both Courage, Determination, and not to mention Bravery.
