The Killer Dust Amiyah Carpenter It was a warm summer day in Oklahoma I went to go sit on the broken porch because, our family was to poor to pay to get it repaired. My mom went to go get some food for our family of four. We have not eaten in six days. My mom at left the house and walked to the market because we could not afford a carriage. I was watching the dust form a little tornado. From then on dust became bigger and bigger and watched as the dust wiped out hundreds of people.

My sister Alice asked where mom was I said she was getting food. The look on her face was shocking. I just looked at Alice for about five minutes. The dust was wiping out homes and suffocating people. Alice told me to get in the house. Our house was small we could not afford a better or bigger house. But at least we have shelter. About three hours later mom was still not home we were all worried.

Alice looked at Dave, Dave was my older brother. Dave and Alice talked at what could've happened to mom. Alice turned on our silver radio and listened.
