Lately, school districts in America have been discussing school start times. Most communities wonder, should the start of school be pushed later? Most schools in America start around the same time. Unfortunately, most schools also start before the recommended start time. While there may be inconveniences that come with pushing the time, there will be more benefits.
Pushing school hours can enhance student grades and mental and physical health.
According to NPR.org, pediatricians believe that starting school before 8:30 can affect a student’s performance during the day. The National Sleep Foundation discovered that 59% of middle schoolers and 87% of high schoolers get less than the suggested number of sleep every night. The recommended amount
