Enforcing School Uniforms for the better of our future
An article called “Should school uniforms be required in public schools?” have studied that “Nearly 85 percent of principals whose schools have uniform policies said that uniforms positively influenced their school 's image in the community” ( In the article “The Sexism of School Dress Codes” Li Zhou mentions a story about a girl named Maggie Sunseri who attends a middle school in Kentucky. She mentions how she has never seen a boy called out for their dress violation yet girls are always getting in trouble for what the are wearing. Maggie mentions that school administration are unfairly targeting young girls by blaming them for promoting sexual harassment. (Zhou). Although there are girls who blatantly violate the school 's dress code, there are many who get in trouble for the smallest things like showing bra straps. To decrease the amount of problems for this situation is simple, just enforce schools uniforms. Even though some people believe school uniforms should not be enforced, uniforms should be enforced in schools because they are cost effective, improve punctuality, and increase learning.
Enforcing school uniforms makes the school year cost effective. Normally, before the school year starts students go “back to school shopping”

Everyone’s outfit shows one’s creative and unique side of an individual. According to “At a time when schools are encouraging an appreciation of diversity, enforcing standardized dress sends a contradictory message” (“Should Students Have to Wear School Uniforms?”). The argument is that people should be able to express themselves since it shows their “individual" side. What this argument overlooks is that school is not a fashion show, it is a place to learn.
