Diversity gives new perspectives on one’s pre-conceived notions. Like traveling, diversity broadens the mind because when one experiences different cultures, one develops a sense or awareness of other people’s way of living in relation to theirs. Diversity does not just bring enhanced awareness to the mind but it also drives for innovation in a competitive or collaborative environment. The reason that we as a country need to promote and celebrate different cultures is because the United States is an exponentially growing ethnically diverse country, and to live peacefully together we must have an accepting sense and understanding of one another. With this reasoning, the same must be implemented in all universities across the United States. I
