Children of immigrants from all over the world feel the pride of being American while also being able to celebrate together in their heritage. Kesaya Noda describes this, “…so reluctant to leave, savoring the connection I feel with my grandmother in America, the past, and the power that lives and shines in the morning sun,” (Noda - ). Noda is fully American and yet also fully Japanese, she has experienced both of these cultures to their fullest and is proud to be a part of them.
