On the morning of November 15th, 2009 I woke up full of energy. The day of my first Vikings game had finally come. My dad had promised to take me to a game for my birthday, and after what felt like an eternity. I put on my number twenty eight Vikings jersey and ran downstairs to eat breakfast. Both my parents were up making my favorite breakfast, pancakes with chocolate chips! My day couldn’t have started any better. My dad and I talked the whole breakfast about how we thought the Vikings could beat our hated rivals, the Detroit Lions. I told him, “All we have to do is hand the ball off to Adrian Peterson and let him do the rest.” My dad responding by saying, “I think they should let Brett Favre throw the ball because Detroit's secondary wasn’t …show more content…
I passed the time by looking at all the houses and stores on the side of the road. When we finally got to the city my eyes were glued to all of the monstrous buildings that surrounded us. After a few minutes my dad said, “Alright son, we are going to park here and walk a block or two.” The streets were packed and all I saw a sea of purple and gold migrating toward the Metrodome. My dad handed me my ticket and we got through security with ease. I told my dad, “I want to go look at the field!” So I ran to the nearest section and looked in. I couldn’t believe what I saw. When we finally sat down I realized we had the best seats in the house. We were ten rows up at the fifty yard line! I could see the names on the back of the players jerseys and I could hear the quarterback's cadence. After a few minutes the captains on both teams went out for the coin toss. The Vikings won the toss and they wanted the ball. I could hear all the coaches yelling at the players to get on the field. Then boom! The Lions kicked off and the game had started. The Vikings got a touchback and I saw Adrian Peterson, my favorite player, jog out to the huddle. Next thing I knew Adrian ran …show more content…
The game continued and the Vikings were dominating the Lions, and when halftime my dad asked me if I wanted to go get food. I agreed and we left our seats. When we arrived in the concessions are all the food looked so good no one could move because of the amount of people. I told my dad I

Early in that game Aaron Rodgers (the quarterback for the Packers) threw a touchdown pass to future Hall of Fame receiver, Donald Driver (Chris Chase). Seconds after the touchdown, Donald Driver ran to the fans and did the signature Lambeau Leap. He looked almost identical to LeRoy Butler in 1993. The crowd was already screaming as loud as they could, but when Donald Driver converted the Lambeau Leap successfully, the stadium absolutely erupted.
