The military spends much in retaining its members while attracting recruits. I believe that the military is making those changes as a direct result of managing diversity. Creating job satisfaction is integral in order retain employees (Fischer 2009). As mentioned in Philippians 2:3-4, our motivation is to serve others; this means people who are even different. In the Air Force, I am proud to say that diversity is a core theme that is seen throughout all workplaces. With this, comes the opportunity to minister to all people of all backgrounds. As a Chaplain, I engage in this challenge each day. There are moments where leadership would ask me advisement regarding their younger Airmen. Nine times out of ten, the problem arises out of generational misunderstanding. I saw the concept of managing diversity as helpful for the next time I advise senior ranked
