Cha-Ching! Cha-Ching! Cha-Ching! The world revolves around money. People have to have money to buy things, own a business, and run a business. Companies have to earn money in order to be able to run it while all other companies also have to have money. These companies should have people to help handle the money and know where the money is being used. The people they hire are called accountants and financial managers. Accountants and Financial managers have to have an education to learn about the job, they have job requirements to do the job right, earn a good salary for the jobs they do and in the future can possibly have job advancements. An accountant or financial manager has to take care of the money that belongs to the company as the main job responsibility. They have to make sure that money will not be stolen, try to invest in order to earn more money for the company, and make sure that the money is well taken care of and end up lost. As a financial manager and accountant it is a job responsibility that the money that belongs to the company is taken care of in every way. You should find ways to earn more money for what is needed. “Accountants with a four-year degree are able to complete most accounting duties. These include examining records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports and completing tax returns. In addition, these accountants may be called upon to evaluate business finances and make recommendations to improve efficiencies or reduce costs.” (Occupational outlook handbook). Accountants have different responsibilities depending in the education that they receive. The higher the degree level the more important the job responsibilities. An accountant has many important responsibilities for a company because they deal with money that the company earns and uses. You have to check records of where money goes and what it was used on in case anybody wants to know or look at past records. Accountants have to check the different accounts that the company has such as customers and vendors.
