The Impact Of Interpersonal Conflict In The Workplace

Interpersonal conflict is the most common work issue in the workplace. Interpersonal conflict is defined as, “a conflict between two individuals that typically occurs from people being different from one another.” (Evans, 2013). Among the diverse group of people we work with, we all have different personalities, values, and opinions where we all might see some things differently from the next person. The problem that needs to be fixed in our organization is finding different ways and solutions to deal with the conflict and other work issues that takes place. It is important to consider critical questions that needs to be answered in order for organizational change to take place. This can cause more issues in the workplace. The same problem can keep occurring. Another pitfall can be that everyone does not collaborate with one another so that we can all fix the problem as a team. If the change is made the possible problems that can occur is that if there is no planning behind the change it can result in the organization falling apart, and affect the success of the organization. The benefits of this organizational change is that it can improve the organization success, it can increase employees productivity and performance, it can create better and strong relationships between employees and their co workers, along with between management and employees. Profits can increase as well because employees will be better able to serve its customers. Team work will be more effective and easily implemented. The possible results of the organizational change is that it helps us to be able to improve our skills with collaborating with one another to fulfill the organizations mission and goals. I will communicate the goals of the intervention to employees and managements by presentations and discussions in our monthly meetings, all issues will be discussed along with the goals of implementing this change. Employees will stay informed through e-mail and newsletters when changes are taking place and made, so they can be informed of all changes and how this change will not only affect them but the organizations as well. I will start the organizational change intervention in my workplace by first have meetings, where the problem is defined or discuss, and we come up with a plan and solutions to help build and create stronger relationships and ensure the success of our organization.
