Communication is a method in which organizations, people, environments send and receive messages to achieve an objective. Industries utilize communication types to enhance their corporate brand by keeping company employees informed about policy and business practice. Lombardo (2016) successful companies use a balance of both internal and external workplace communication to inform, persuade, and educate their constituents on business, product, or service information. Companies elevate their brand when their trade name is reputable. When you see names such as Edward Jones, Starbucks, Wells Fargo, you immediately recognize the brand and name because of communication strategies. Effective communication efforts include cultural differences by respecting diversified environments. A company can give recognition through performance reviews. Hart (2011) Recognition programs demonstrate respect for your employees. A meaningful, thoughtful employee appreciation program is about valuing employees ' efforts and having respect for who they are and what they do. Internal communication is the functionality of work environment and workspace. If there were two communication efforts that could be improved with Wells Fargo is continue the advertising through social media. Wells Fargo usually does not advertise but it could enhance the vision the company stands by. The internal communication effort could be improved by diversifying the recognition methods. Giving employees monetary incentive may not be motivating to everyone. It can be an increase use of Ecards, vacations, additional paid time off, etc. Communication strategies can enhance a company’s brand and build a powerful corporation like Wells Fargo.
