(Blakelynn’s room 8:30pm)

Blakelynn: (Questionable) Which one looks better Serenity?

Serenity: (Unsure) I think I like the darker one better.

Mom: (Worried) Don’t pick the darkest color you see. We don’t want your eyes to pop toooooooo much.

Blakelynn: (Annoyed) I’ll be fine, mom.

Serenity: Don’t worry her eyes are in good hands!

Blakelynn: Okay, so should we eat before or after the pa--

Serenity: (Serenity cuts her off) Wait, shouldn’t we do our homework and study instead of going to the party?

Blakelynn: (Confident) It won’t matter. My teachers love me!

Serenity: (Questionable) Umm.. I don’t think that having your teachers love you will help you with your final.

Blakelynn: (Boldly) You don’t know that.

Serenity: (Kinda annoyed now) Don’t you care about passing your classes??

Blakelynn: Come on Serenity. We both know the teachers are making the finals easier because they don’t want to work as much this close to summer.

Serenity: (Very irritated) Whatever... Go with the 2nd one

Blakelynn: Ok that’s what I thought. (whispering) But don’t tell my mom. You know she wouldn’t approve.

(Both girls start laughing)

Mom: (Barging in the room) I heard that!!

(The girls keep laughing until they catch their breath)

Serenity: (Saying sneekly) Heard

(The Kitchen/Dining room 8:45 pm)

Blakelynn: So what should we eat?

Mom: How about some pizza rolls… those seem easy enough.
(gets pizza rolls out of freezer)

Serenity: That's fine with me.

Blakelynn: Whatever mom. (Signals to Serenity) Lets go. (Starts to walk away)

Serenity: (Kinda a little annoyed) Like I said, I am getting food before we go.

Blakelynn: (Frustrated) Fine, I’ll take some food too mom.

Mom: (Motherly/Babyish tone) You know you would have gotten some anyway, I’m not going to let my baby girl go hungry even if she wants to. (Handing Blakelynn and Serenity plates of pizza rolls.)

Blakelynn: I’m 16 mother. I can eat when I want to.

Mom: (rolls eyes) Just know that someday you’ll come crawling back to me wanting to be a little kid again!!

Blakelynn: (bothered) No I won’t mom! (barges into living room)

Act I, Scene III
(Living room 5 minutes later)

Blakelynn: So you ready?

Serenity: Not yet.

Mom: For once I agree with Serenity.

Serenity: Whatever let’s study.

Blakelynn: (whining) I don’t want too though. Don’t you wanna see if there is any hot guys at this party? I mean come on.

Mom: Ummm you two are perfectly independent on your own. You don’t need a guy… but let me know if you find a cute guy I should know
