What is the most powerful thing in this world? Money or love? Every single person in this world needs love and also money. Money and love can control everything in this world. But does money can buy true love? Many people in this modern life are having hard time finding their true love because of money. Some people just try to love other people because they needed money which is not a real love. In the story of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, one of the main character was Daisy. Daisy always wanted to have better life than she had when she was a young girl. When Daisy chose to get married to her husband Nick, she also chosen the life that Nick can give her which is to be rich but not happy. Daisy has luxuries and big house that she always dreamed about …show more content…
Daisy’s husband Nick has not been a really good husband to her, Nick cheated to Daisy with other woman. Also biggest part of the reason why Daisy married her husband because of his money and his ability to give her the life that she always wanted even though Daisy love someone else. ”She only married you because I was poor and she was tired of waiting for me. It was a terrible mistake, but in her heart she never loved any one except me”(p130). If a person wants to find his/her true love he needs to explore and find it because it love don’t travel to find a person. But in the book Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, one of the main character named Janie. The people around her were looking at her like shes an angel. Janie is a beautiful person therefore there are many men that would like her. In this modern life people only need three things to live
