The environment should be treated the best it can in order for future generations to be able to thrive in the area, but the food industry is making that seemingly hard. Almost all food is factory made which means that those factories are also creating pollution. “Runoff from these chemicals….. already killed off a marine life in a 12000 square mile area” (pollan 3). It is easy to point fingers at the food industry when everyone else is doing it, but we need to take a step back and analyze our actions. “Make no mistake the food industry are far easier to demonize, regulate, and litigate than a culture of laziness and indulgence” (Hollingsworth 1). People are responsible for themselves. One should learn healthy habits and watch what they eat rather than point fingers. No one is forcing them to eat the food companies produce, they have their own choice. People are becoming lazy and depending on others too much.
